Miami can prove to be a difficult place for the singles crowd to navigate at times. While a busy social scene is certainly alive and well here, it's sometimes hard to cut through all the bright lights and busy people to make a real connection.

Even though the task may seem daunting, there are plenty of fun activities for the city's most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Here is our list of some of the best things to do in Miami's singles scene:

For the Artsy Crowd

From the skyline to the shoreline, living in the Magic City almost always seems like constantly traversing around in a 360-degree piece of art. That backdrop is the canvas for a lively arts scene that offers plenty of great things for singles to do.

One of the highlights is "Second Saturdays" at Wynwood Art Walk where local businesses in this well-known arts district open after hours to offer a fun street festival environment. Taking in one of the many screenings held at the Pérez Art Museum Miami is another way to meet someone with similar interests.

For the Chill Crowd

There can be great value to meeting people away from the hustle and bustle of Miami. Bookstores and coffee shops are time-honored places to meet people and, fortunately, there are many good ones to go to in the city.

Books & Books is a bookstore/cafe concept that has three hybrid locations in Coral Gables, on Lincoln Road, and at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Panther Coffee is a locally-based chain that roasts their own beans with fun shops around town.

For the Fitness Crowd

Miami is a haven for good-looking people and the physically fit, so, not surprisingly, there are numerous events for those who like to bike, run, or participate in other activities.

Biking enthusiasts can build bonds on the last Friday of every month with the Critical Mass group that rides through Downtown Miami. The Brickell Run Club is a free running club that meets every Tuesday for a three to five-mile run at 7 p.m. at the Fortune International building at 1300 Brickell Avenue.

For the Party Crowd

Maybe bars and clubs are not the best places to meet people, but Miami has a diverse nightlife landscape that has something for everyone. The Broken Shaker is a cool cocktail bar that attracts tourists and regulars alike with their poolside patio and boardgames like Jenga!

Lagniappe brings the vibe of a backyard party to Wynwood and continues the casual feel by allowing people to choose the wine bottle of their choice out of a cooler. Brickell locations like Redbar Brickell, Sugar, and Blackbird Ordinary also deliver great crowds on a regular basis.
