As hot as it gets in Miami, a small task like going to the store or taking out the garbage can leave us sweating bullets. With our temperatures sky-rocketing into the high 90s some days, we often find ourselves searching for some relief. Some avoid leaving the house in favor of chilling in the AC, but there are plenty of other ways to keep cool and beat the Miami heat.

Miami is famous for its beautiful east coast beaches providing the perfect way to escape the heat as the crystal-clear waters provide a much-needed cool down from the sun’s rays.

Oleta Park State Park is well known by locals for being a great getaway from not only the hustle and bustle of the busy city but also from hot temperatures. As its name states, the park has a river and many activities plus a private beach open to the calm intercostal. One of the best ways to beat the heat is to stay out of it! There are plenty of fun things to do in Miami that are completely indoors.
