Description

This is an official event so uniforms are requisite. On Thursday, November 30th The Conch Republic will acknowledge the Official End of the Atlantic Hurricane Season by the burning of the 2017 Hurricane Flags.

Event Details

For many, it was a life altering experience and for some, it was life ending. The names Harvey, Irma and Maria will never be thought of in quite the same way.

This year's ceremony will no doubt be solemn and will be conducted with the dignity it deserves, but like everything in the Conch Republic it will do so by showing the respect, conveying the warmth, and radiating the humor that is the trademark of our tiny island nation.

Our fearless leader Miss Chiefmaker is on special mission in New Zealand and sends her regards. The Conch Republic High Command will be meeting over the next couple of days to finalize plans for the ceremony. This dispatch is a heads up to make ready for orders from our Commanding Officers. Please invite your family, friends, co-workers, clients, customers and guests.

I look forward to seeing you in uniform at the USS Ingham on the 30th. Sunset is at 5:38 pm, so we can expect to muster no later than 1700 hours. The bar onboard will be open.

Exact details to follow.
