In her opening recital as professor at the Frost School, viola virtuoso Jodi Levitz plays Schumann Fairy Tale Pictures, Op. 113; Brahms’s Two Songs for Contralto, Viola and Piano, Op.91; Brahms’s Sonata in F minor, Op.120, No.1; and Rebecca Clarke’s Sonata 1919. Pianist Oleksii Ivanchenko and contralto Emily Marvosh accompany her in this ravishing debut.
