With a locale as historically rich and vibrant as Key West, there's bound to be some old lore, rumors, and sightings of some seriously paranormal stuff coursing through this old town. Tales of ghosts and hauntings are definitely no stranger to this typically laid-back island getaway and many businesses, museums, and other areas that call Key West home. One notable, haunted locale in Key West is the East Martello Museum.  Located at the East Martello Fort, the museum houses Robert the Doll, a life size, apparently haunted doll deemed "the original Chucky".  Apparently the doll was given to notable Key West figure, Gene Otto from a mistreated servant and was rumored to be treated with a voodoo curse.  Today you can see Robert, who witnesses claim will cause cameras to malfunction around him, will shift his toy horse from one leg to another, and even tap on the glass of his display case. Another notable, haunted Key West building is Captain Tony's Saloon, the oldest bar in the state of Florida and site of the original Sloppy Joe's bar in the 1930's.  The creepy thing is, Tony's saloon also served as an icehouse and city morgue in the late 1800's.  16 bodies were found during remodeling and are rumored to still haunt the bar today. This is just a tiny sampling of all the haunted locales around Key West.  You can visit each on their own or take an Original Haunted Ghost Tour of Key West to get the full spectrum of paranormal activity in the Keys.
