At the perfect moment everyone ignites their personalized sky lanterns with Tiki torches and lets them take flight. It creates a surreal ambiance, where time slows down and your single flame rises and joins with thousands of others to light up your life.

Since it encourages you to bring chairs & blankets can you bring a picnic basket or cooler with sandwiches and waters/soda?

Hi Heidi, No outside food or beverages can be brought into the event site. We have 7+ food vendors who provide a wide number of menu choices.

Hi Angel - Please go to www.thelightsfest.com at the bottom of the home page they have a BLUE button that says send us a message. Click on it, fill out the info & they should get back to you by email.

I have been told these lanterns will not be able to be released into the air due to fire laws. I was just wondering if this is true, as this is the thing my daughter wants to see most, Thanks for your help and information.

Hi Judy the Lights Fest is set to go. Weather conditions will of course be a factor. The fire Marshall will be working with the event to proceed safely. Thanks.

My husband and I are going for sure. Need to make reservations. My mom may be in from TX and we will bring her If she is. Can you please tell me if we would be allowed to bring my mom along if she comes in from TX that week, even if we did not prebuy a ticket for her? Will it be sold out? Or can last minute guests pay at the gate? Please email a reply to me or to 352-210-2721

My husband and I are going for sure. Need to make reservations. My mom may be in from TX and we will bring her If she is. Can you please tell me if we would be allowed to bring my mom along if she comes in from TX that week, even if we did not prebuy a ticket for her? Will it be sold out? I bought tickets for feb 24 2018 I Was wondering can you buy extra lanterns at the event?. I thought I did but I must have deleted it
Also what happens if the event gets cancelled?. I'm excited about it hope it's not cancelled
