I’ll just say it: planning for Valentine’s Day can be stressful! How do you find the perfect thing to do or the best restaurant to wine and dine that special person in your life? The options can feel overwhelming, and, on top of that, expensive! The good news is that you don’t have to break the bank, or your head, to plan the perfect Valentine’s Day. We have three great ways to spend a romantic Valentine's Day with your significant other right here in Miami.

A La Folie Cafe

What’s more romantic than the City of Lights, or at least some semblance of it? For classic French fare and charming outdoor seating decked with lights, look no further than A La Folie Café. This little restaurant in South Beach boasts a menu of traditional, delicious French food and is a completely worthwhile destination of its own. A La Folie Cafe's location on Espanola Way is slightly removed, making it perfect for an evening spent chatting over a bottle of wine. After dinner, don’t forget to end with something sweet like their decadent crepes or crème brulee. For an alternate ending, take a stroll down the length of Espanola Way for people-watching and a gelato at Milani Gelateria. Whatever you decide, sharing a romantic dinner at A La Folie Cafe is one of the best ways to celebrate Valentine's Day in Miami.

Sylvano's Restaurant

For another affordable yet romantic dinner option in Miami, head north to Sylvano's. A favorite among Miami Beach locals, this Italian restaurant serves up a number of fantastic, family-sized dishes to share with your date. Select a bottle of wine from their extensive wine list and pick two or three (or four) plates to enjoy between the two of you. Make sure to snag outdoor seating if you can because the beautiful space only adds to the experience. To finish the night Italian-style, try a glass of Limoncello for dessert. This refreshing lemon liqueur really hits the spot, but be careful: it's surprisingly potent!

New World Symphony Soundscape Park

As most of us in Miami know, a beautiful night in February is a terrible thing to waste. Take full advantage of the Florida winter and the SoundScape Cinema Series at the New World Center's Soundscape Park in South Beach with a movie under the stars for Valentine's Day! On Wednesday nights, O Cinemas teams up with the New World Center to project a movie on a 7,000 square-foot projection wall, and it’s completely free to the public. Bring your favorite snacks, your blanket, and your date and snuggle up under the stars while watching Casablanca, one of the most romantic movies of all time. Don’t miss out on this opportunity: the next Valentine’s Day that falls on a Wednesday isn’t until 2024!

Whichever you decide to do, these romantic ideas are a sure-fire way to have an unforgettable Valentine's Day in Miami.
