Thaddeus Phillips returns to The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse with Inflatable Space - a theatrical spectacle about the Golden Record, launched on The Voyager Spacecraft, 1977. Making use of colossal inflatable set pieces that magically emerge and recede into the darkness of space, Inflatable Space morphs between the 1970s, when NASA scientists prepared this record and Eons later, in interstellar space, as it is intercepted, and it’s discoverers accept Humanity’s invitation to come and visit the earth.
ABOUT THADDEUS PHILLIPS
Thaddeus Phillips is a theater director, stage designer and Film/TV actor originally from Denver, Colorado who creates visually stunning and inventive theater that crosses stylistic boundaries and embraces a wide variety of themes. He directs using stage design as a major too to devise ever shifting scenes and cinematic images that remain purely theatrical. Directed works and creations include: Red-eye to Havre De Grace, and action-opera about the last days of E. A. Poe in collaboration with the Minneapolis-based The Wilhelm Bros & Co.; CAPSULE 33, about a Serbian astrophysicist living in the doomed Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo, which was presented Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theater in the fall of 2010; and El Conquistador! Which was presented Off-Broadway at NYTW and toured the US, Europe and 11 cities in Spain. For his performance as Polonio in El Conquistador!, he was nominated for a Drama League Award and a Lucille Lortel Award, and a Hewes Award.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is ample street parking along NW 26th Street and 5th Avenue. Please make sure you observe all meters, No Parking Zones and hydrants - those are enforced at all times! Also, be mindful that Wynwood has a lot of traffic so plan ahead.
