UMPD is offering the S.A.F.E. class free of charge to all female members of the University of Miami community 18 years of age and older. This includes faculty, staff, and students. S.A.F.E. is a two-hour educational awareness, crime-victim prevention program that encompasses strategies, techniques, options, and prevention. It is designed to provide teenaged and adult women with information that may reduce their risk of exposure to violence and introduces them to the physical aspects of self-defense.
This class will be held in Eaton Residential College Room 148 on the Coral Gables Campus. The address for Eaton Residential College is 1211 Dickinson Drive Coral Gables, FL 33146. Enter Eaton Residential College through the door on the right of the parking lot that says "Department of Housing & Residential Life." Upon entering, make a left and go all the way down the hallway. Classroom 148 will be at the end of the hallway.
Please arrive promptly as the class will begin right at 5:30 pm.
Please register for the class to reserve your spot. It is only necessary to register for one class session as each session will cover the same material!

What is the closest parking to Eaton Residential College?
Parking is very limited on the Coral Gables campus and is enforced from 8 am to 11 pm every day. Some parking is available right in front of Eaton Residential College. Be sure you are not parking in a spot labeled "reserved." Additional paid parking is available off of Dickinson Drive behind Pentland House (facing Hecht Residential College) as well as in the Pavia and Merrick Parking Garages. What should I wear to the class?
