London-based Candoco Dance Company, one of the worlds top contemporary dance companies of disabled and non-disabled dancers, performs on the main stage at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium. The evening features the U.S. premieres of Beheld by U.K.-based Alexander Whitley and Face In by Tisch School of the Arts trained Israeli artist Yasmeen Godder. Beheld presents powerful duets and breath-taking ensemble dancing set to a mesmerizing score by German composer Nils Frahm, while Face In is a sensual and disturbing ode to intimacy and imagination set to an urban indie score. Candoco was founded in 1991 by Celeste Dandeker-Arnold OBE and Adam Benjamin. The company commissions and produces work by world-class choreographers such as Trisha Brown, Fin Walker and Stephen Petronio. Candoco has a vibrant educational program that provides access to the highest quality of dance for dancers of all abilities.
