Event Details
Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at Miami Children’s Museum on Monday, January 20th, with meaningful activities that inspire action, reflection, and creativity. Families can honor Dr. King’s legacy through hands-on projects that highlight peace, unity, and dreams for a brighter future. In the Art Studio, children can design vibrant peace plates in the Plates of Peace activity, using tape and paint as a tribute to Dr. King’s message of justice and harmony. Over in Kidscape Village, the I Have a Dream Clouds activity invites kids to craft a cloud sharing their dreams for the world, inspired by Dr. King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech, and contribute to a collaborative sky display. In the Health & Wellness Classroom, children can participate in Expressive Posters, creating posters that reflect their passions and values, which can be used in a special parade later in the session. Join Miami Children’s Museum on this special day to reflect on Dr. King’s vision and inspire hope for the future.
