RAW is a disruptive local presence empowering emerging artists during the most important week for the arts in Miami. This is the first and only art event to take place at the Historic Post Office Building.
In today's world, the human mind is constantly over stimulated, not focused on living in the present moment. For its next installment, YAI has selected RAW as the curatorial thesis for site specific installations. The human senses will be stripped to their purest form; ready to be felt in a raw space. With over 40+ emerging artists interpreting the senses, RAW's pop up aims to challenge, engage and awaken.
WED .06 8pm - Reset x Young Artist Initiative
Welcome to Reset. A cosmic journey through your senses and energy system. Immerse yourself in a 3-floor sensory experience featuring interactive art installations, herbal cocktails, sensory tea tasting and otherworldly music. Reset your mind and awaken your senses.
THURS .07 8pm - El Batatono by Myopía
Welcome to Miami’s first robe party. Imported from Peru, El Batatono brings people together under the idea that robes are transitional garments - illustrating the gap between nakedness and proper clothing and constructing a bigger metaphor for what Millennials are: a generation in transition. Ticket includes 1 bata (Psychedelic Peruvian Robe).
