Event Details
The most exciting annual community event, Walk for the Animals, makes its way back to Miami for its 21st Anniversary on Saturday, February 29th! More than 3,000 people and their canine companions will gather at a NEW LOCATION, Maurice A. Ferré Park, formerly known as Bicentennial Park, for a day filled with fun and exciting activities for the whole family, all to benefit the homeless dogs and cats of Miami.
At the Walk for the Animals, going the extra mile to support our furry friends is literally a “walk in the park!” Starting at 8:30AM, people and doggies of all ages will enjoy a morning filled with entertainment, including:
- A one mile walk around the beautiful park
- Free games
- Exciting raffles
- Contests like the “Look-Alike” and “Best Kisser” contests
- Performances by the Purina ProPlan Performance Team
- Lucky Dogs Lure Coursing to test your pup's abilities
-Adoption Arena featuring adoptable doggies and kitties from several local rescues including Rescue Paws 4 Furry Hearts Fosters, Saving Sage Animal Rescue Foundation, Coastal Boxer Rescue, and Save The Strays Foundation, plus, the opportunity to participate in Art To Save Lives #BeeTheChange collaborative painting series

This is a great fundraising event to help all of the doggies and kitties in need! A donation of $50 or more will earn supporters a Walk T-shirt, goodie bag with many wonderful treats for you and your furry friend and the opportunity to participate in the 2020 Walk for the Animals as a proud registrant. And when you fundraise, there is so much more to enjoy. The top three fundraisers will win great prizes, which makes fundraising for this event even more rewarding!
