Our neighborhood exploration of Overtown will be led by Connie W. Kinnard, who’s been a Miami resident for 3 years now. She’s happy to be marketing & promoting this multicultural and diverse community through efforts of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau! This walking tour starts at the Historic Lyric Theater where Timothy A. Barber, the Historian & Executive Director of the Black Archives, will meet attendees to share about Overtown’s key history and other multicultural gems in the area. Stops along the way also include: Ward Rooming House, the Old Clyde Killen's Pool Hall, Black Police Precinct, and more.
