Saturdays: March 13 and 20
Sundays: March 14 and 21

National Orchid Garden Walking Tour – Cycad Circle – 10:30am
How to pollinate and breed orchids – Rainforest Plaza – 11:30am
The Million Orchid Project Walking Tour – Cycad Circle – 12:30pm
How to attach orchids to trees – Science Village – 1:30pm

General Collection Walking Tour – Edible Garden – 11:00am & 1:30pm

Plus the best local and international Orchid growers are back with a wide variety of orchids for sale. Something for newbies and something for seasoned collectors, this is the most wonderful time of the year for our orchid lovers! Also, we will host an artisan market, as well as, some amazing sweet and savory food trucks.
Weekend Concerts:

Live Music with the Brian Tate Quartet – March 12
As a special kick-off to our Orchids in Bloom week, we welcome the Brian Tate Quartet for a lovely evening of classic jazz. Come enjoy some amazing music and fresh air under the stars.

Live Music with the Brothers of Others – March 21
Join us as we welcome the fun and groovy sounds of Brothers of Others to close out the 10 days of everything orchid! Bring your lawn chairs/blankets, favorite snacks and enjoy great music and fresh air.

National Orchid Garden Walking Tour – Cycad Circle – 11:00am & 2:00pm

Sound Art Installation: Juraj Kojš: Orchid Music

Orchid Music exhibit by Juraj Kojš features a series of modules connecting orchids and musical expressions. Hear the DNA of the Florida native Encyclia tampensis and Cyrtopodium punctatum and jam with the synthesizer performing their DNA. Touch the orchid leaves and hear their reactions. Make your own sculpture of used orchid plastic pots. Talk to the orchids. Learn about orchid labeling and create your own visual patterns.

The project is supported by the FETA Foundation, University of Miami, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
