Widely exhibited both domestically and abroad, MacArthur Fellow Dr. Joyce Scott is known for producing beautiful, complicated works that address the ugly realities of the human condition, notably, war, racism, misogyny, rape, police brutality, and gun violence. Through her distinctive free-form glass beadwork, Scott tells the uncomfortable truths of our time through potent allegories.
