While the parents are away, the children will play. And eat. And watch movies. And play again! If you're a family and wondering just what families do for New Year's Eve, one of the biggest party nights of the year, there's finally an answer. The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami answers the call for families with its World's Smallest NYE Party. New Year's Eve is basically considered the ultimate adult holiday.

And for good reason, of course. Most of the traditions and festivities are centered around things children can't do. Or more accurately, parties at a friend's home, bar, club or hotel, don't consider, much less cater to, kids. This is understandable because children can't buy bottles, pay cover charges, or stay up until 6 a.m. to welcome the new year properly. If this feels like a vacuum waiting to be filled, you probably had the same idea the Ritz-Carlton did.

The World's Smallest NYE Party fills that void with six and a half hours of entertainment that will fill your munchkins with new year cheer. And fill their bellies with their favorite snacks. While adult New Year's Eve parties advertise open bars as selling points, the Ritz-Carlton's shindig serves up an all-you-can-eat kid's buffet. Expect your little scamp to eat enough pizza, chips, and candy to wake up with a food hangover on January 1st.

But they'll do more than snack on junk food. The Ritz-Carlton will do their best to help your little rascals work some of the food with several games. And they'll also get the opportunity to kick back, relax and enjoy some of their favorite kid flicks, ringing in 2018.

The World's Smallest New Year's Eve Party in Miami is $105 per child and runs from December 31 at 6 pm until 12:30 a.m. January 1st. That may be a bit later than your kid's usual bedtime, but you can let them indulge a bit on the first morning of the year, right?!
