South Beach, located in Miami, Florida, is an incredibly popular vacation destination. Also known as SoBe, this neighborhood contains major hot spots for restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. With many oceanfront hotels, nationwide-famous events, and warm weather, this Florida neighborhood is a great place for your next vacation.

SoBe is full of a variety of fashion centers. Lincoln Road, South Beach’s main shopping district, is an outdoor pedestrian mall full of eclectic vendors and entertainment. Collins Avenue, also known as “Millionaire Row”, contains more expensive shops. Washington Avenue and Ocean Drive are also known for its summer-friendly clothing stores and restaurants.

SoBe features over 150 bars and clubs, most of which stay open until 5 A.M. The center of SoBe’s nightlife is located on Collins Avenue from 15th Street to 24th Street. Ocean Drive and Washington Avenue also boasts some hotspots, such as Cameo, Mansion, and Pearl and Nikki Beach night spots.

Miami Beach is full of culture and exciting events. Many people flock to Florida to see the annual MTV award shows, Miami Fashion Week, and the Miami International Film Festival. In January, there is also the annual Miami Marathon, and in February there is the Miami International South Beach Wine and Food Festival.

Lummus Beach, also known as Glitter Beach, attracts people of all ages. In addition to having year-long sunny weather, trademark bright colored beach equipment, and beautiful palm trees, Lummus Beach also showcases outdoor entertainment and celebrity sightings, as models often come here for fashion photoshoots.

Another great place is South Pointe Park, a famous park in Miami Beach. This is a great place for recreation with the family as there are children’s jungle gyms, dog playing areas, restaurants, and beautiful views of the bay.

In the Biscayne Bay is the man-made island, Star Island. Celebrities often have summer homes on this oval-shaped, upscale neighborhood.

Another thing the city is known for its art deco architecture. In particular, Flamingo Park is full of art deco apartments and Collins Avenue has art deco hotels.
