Happy hour turns into a nightmare on Halloween weekend. I have never posted a bad review, but my experience at Waxy O’Connors in Miami, was so awful that I felt I had to. I worked in a management position in Food & Beverage, in 4 & 5 star Hotels and have NEVER seen this kind of attitude, incompetence and bad service from the server up to the Manager. I live across the river from the restaurant and always wanted to try it out, as the location is great, with beautiful views and a great atmosphere. A friend of mine was visiting from Las Vegas and we decided to go for “Happy hour” on Friday 10/29 after work. Arriving 5 minutes after the end of “Happy hour”, while searching for a parking spot for 20 min, we where told that it was too late. Ok no problem that’s understandable, we ordered our drinks, my friend order a Cosmopolitan and I ordered I glass of Sauvignon Blanc. It took a good 10 min. for the drinks to arrive, when they did, our server Mary-Beth informed me that they run out of clean wine glasses and served me the drink in a tall soda glass. I look at her with disbelieve, when she said “You got more wine this way”! Was she kidding???? I wanted to enjoy my wine in a wine

    Pros: great view

    Cons: read additional comments......
