2008 was a well earned step up for DJ Mikey Shanley (formerly known as Dj Sirius). His charisma and talent landed him in both the Miami and Pittsburgh city papers, an official resident DJ of house holy land- South Beach (Miami), the starting on production of his own tracks, playing Miami celeb mega-club Space, a second place finalist in a Miami DJ contest, and the start of a strong press buzz in Pittsburgh with four mentions in four different papers for the month of August. One of which include landing the feature story in Pittsburgh alternative publication “Out” which ran the whole month of August.

As a third generation DJ, Mikey has understood the importance of promoting himself. This is why the ladies and clubbers in general flock to where he is and spend more at the clubs that book him; just ask the crowd who gathered to take pictures with him after his jolting second place performance at Space in Miami. Some say this star seemed to come out of nowhere, yet he went on to beat out most entries for the contest in South Florida. With an established crowd and ability, people are awaiting to see him get a resident position in Miami. Which club will be smart enough to pick up this Berklee Music Biz major?
Multiple genre sets make him diverse and reminiscent of the energy of DJ’s like Irene, Donald Glaude, Carl Cox, Fat Boy Slim and The Freestylers. Urging those enjoying the atmosphere to cheer loud and proud; while rocking current chart topping and underground tracks from house genres and trance to break beat; we should all feel like stars when we come together on the dance floor with this DJ. Mikey’s first experiences as an EDM DJ started in Pittsburgh when he teamed up with event organizers, Phoenix Management, in 2005. His unique sparkle made him a star with the crowds. Soon after, other cities were calling his name. Mikey Shanley enjoys being a maniac on stage and a polite appreciator off stage.
From June to December of 2006 and June-August 2007 Mikey held a resident DJ spot on Key West. DJ Mikey Shanley has had the pleasure to share flyer space and stages with such DJ’s as Donald Glaude, Dan, Irene, Crystal Method, Delirium, Venom, Frankie Bones, Tattoo Detectives, Icey and many more.
