the new 3g iphone is coming out soon July 11 is when stores are going to carry them. They are going to have GPS program that you can see your friends that have a iphone on a map and see where they are.
I don't know if I would want my friends to know where I am. What benefit could that possibly give me? Just another way to promote a product. I myself am more interested in Android cell phone platform from Google. I used to be a Google hater but I think Google has much more pull in the Technology world. I give Apple credit for pushing technology and getting their phone to market first. Yes they allow people create applications and attempt to do as much open source as possible. But Google plays their cards better. They purchase all the right companies, create the strongest partnerships & lead the some of the best inovative programs. Check out the Android open source cell phone operating system by Google. With Google and the Open Handset Alliance, of course Apple had to rush to get to market & by lowering their price to only $200 for a new iPhone, they are going to try to get as many people as they can onboard early. It will be interesting to see what happens between now and January 2009.
That is good new to see Google is pulling in mobile os. To bad they can't come up with a Google OS for PC's. Android shows a lot more promise than the 3g Iphone. I don't want my privacy taken away from me, I'd rather have you call anyway. Then have you know where I was every second of the day. I could see where wife('s) would insist their husband('s) would get one.
